Main tasks and responsibilities:
- Coordinate and monitor new Launches for Production Control & Logistics.
- Monitor introduction of new launches by ensuring adequate preparation using Supply Chain Readiness Checklist.
- Ensure production plan and schedule / Visual Production instructions in place for new production lines.
- Production BOMs Released to ERP System (or engineering hardware/software changes on-time).
- Hand off to Plant PC&L team on time with robust process deliverables.
- Create PFMEA.
- Follow escalation process for roadblocks and potential customer risks.
- Ensure plant is Ready to schedule and ship parts in line with Customer requirements.
- Verify Customer Purchase Orders received and input to ERP system (EDI).
- Verify with COM team that Customer container labeling requirements are identified (format, database set-up, location, bar code, other) prior to PPAP. Ensure right labeling implemented before PPAP batch.
- Ensure all master data related with new launch set-up in ERP ( i.e new customer creation, new material, CMIR,…).
- Verify that compliant shipping documentation exists in ERP (i.e. bill of lading, invoices, hazardous information, VAT language, special documents, etc.). Delphi Visual Production Instruction guideline.
- Ensure Manufacturing Connections and Material.
- Ensure new material movement equipment, eg. Trolleys etc are sufficient to adapt to the new project.
- Ensure adequate drop off points are available & new call off mechanisms are in place for the new partnumbers.
- Ensure containerization plan (concept defined, loop size, cost, approvals and available on time).
- Verify Packaging design is Complete & Approved by Customer .
- Ensure Packaging instructions are released in ERP .
- Ensure packaging materials In-house for Production Build (returnable, expendable, back-up) .
- Verify floor space calculation for packaging inventory/ or returnable .
- Customs clearance systems ( Packaging material prelaunch) .
- Ensure Suppliers Readiness for timely delivery and compliance to BorgWarner requirements.
- Verify if Sourcing plan (supplier contact list , etc.) is completed .
- Verify Transport Plan and packaging cost breakdown forms are completed by suppliers (delivery frequency, mode of transport…) .
- Verify with SOM/SCM team Supplier Readiness - EDI certification . Scheduling agreement (SA) exists for every partnumber
- Estimate Loop Size for Inbound Logistics cost for returnable packaging .
- Ensure plan for every part release in ERP (supplier lead time, MOQ,supplier contact list, special handling, standard pack).
- Releases for components complete, Component buffers defined & stocked, material routes established. Component PIPAP complete.
- Support PC MCIP activities and changes.

- Align Adv PC&L preparations with Launch project timing for plant projects taking in to account AdvPC&L PBU strategic inputs.
- Support Adv PC&L PBU to ensure all PC&L costs are accurately reflected in business cases for customers quotes and changes and PC&L deliverables are executed.
- Setup, evaluate and validate PC Processes as required for Ready to Ship , Manufacturing Connections, Suppliers Readiness, Material Movement, ERP Parameters & Packaging on time.
- Develop and ensure cost are budgeted and aligned with project requirements.
- Hand off to Plant PC&L team on time with robust process deliverables.
- Continuous improvement with performance, capability, customer specific requirements.
